Hello, friends!
Welcome to Teacher's Corner. Teacher's Corner is a
website created by a teacher (myself) for other teachers,
for students and for everyone willing to learn. It
provides you with interesting, captivating and sometimes
entertaining lessons, tutorials and fully fledged courses
on software, the internet and technology in general. I
addition to that, another section of this website will
offer short lessons snippets on learning English in the
future. All this content is delivered in the popular
screencast format.
What can you expect to read on this website? Well, I
intend to publish several kinds of articles:
1. Learning English
This is a future project and not online as of yet. I will
publish short tutorial units here, ranging from grammar
training to comments on language oddities. This section
is mainly intended to help my (German) students learning
English. But even if you are NOT one of my students,
English is your first language and you speak English much
better than me in everyday life you might still find
those postings useful, as they are mainly about grammar -
and grammar is something even native speakers readily
forget over time.
2.
Visual Helpdesk
Do
you want to be a computer nerd? Do you want to take your
computer skills to an otherworldly level? Then this is
your place to be. In regular screencasts I will
demonstrate cool applications or demonstrate technology
backgrounds for Apple Macintosh and Windows. Some lessons
might also be about school related topics. For example, I
plan to produce a tutorial series on OpenOffice 2.0, the
office suite the school I am working at uses in the
Computer Science classes. To get to an overview on the
available lessons got to the Visual Helpdesk section.
3. Tutorial movies on demand
Are you a developer? Would you like to include video
tutorials on your website or your CD/DVD? If you are and
do and if you like what you see on this website, feel
free to contact me. I am sure we can get to a reasonably
priced agreement. If you'd like to see an example of my
work, head over to the Media Services section of this site. The
tutorials mentioned there were produced and
conceptualized by me.
Best regards,
Christian Meermann
